Cancer is usually classified according to the tissue from which the cancerous cells originate, as well as the normal cell type they most resemble. These are location and histology, respectively. A definitive diagnosis usually requires the histologic examination of a tissue biopsy specimen by a pathologist although the initial indication of malignancy can be symptoms or radiographic imaging abnormalities. Most can be treated and some cured, depending on the specific type, location, and stage.
Once diagnosed, it is usually treated with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Research in the area of stem cells has added new hope for those suffering with this dreaded disease.

Researchers at the University of Alberta believe DCA is the cure for cancer. But big pharmaceutical companies aren't interested because DCA is not patentable, meaning there is no money to be made, so they will not finance clinical trials! These greedy companies are trying to bury it because not only will they make no money selling it, but DCA will also cut into their exiting drug market which they make a ton of money.
